The daily tip, this time, will not save you money … but it will change the quality of life for your horse!
If you are a jump rider, you have probably noticed (or at least after reading these lines you will notice) the light blue bit …
(By the way, this tip is for all horses and sports, not necessarily jumpers) …
What are these bits?
First of all they are called POPONCINIBIT and the model I recommend is HARMONY.
What is special about them?
First of all they are made of silicon, with varying degrees of difficulty. HARMONY 1 This is the degree of difficulty that I use – it is very soft and the horses just surrender to it completely!
In terms of size – 13.5 will fit most horses.
How did I know that switch?
A few years ago, when I was still living and competing in France, I rode a young horse and finished the course with 4 fences down …
I had control problems and the horse kept resisting the bit and got locked …
I went after the course to the equipment store (my sickness what can I do … :))
And the seller, who notice my round- knew exactly what I was talking about.
He recommended this bit to me.
I immediately bought it (God forbid, it cost me 270 Euros!) But in the day after, we ended with one fence down. The only change was the bit!
Since I’ve known this bit – I use it pretty often!
I have it as a simple bit,
I have it as a bit in different ways (Pessoa, Phelham, etc.) What does not change is the part that sits in the horse’s mouth – and it is gentle! The most delicate you have known to this day !!!
So the benefits of this bit:
1. The horses accept it and do not oppose it
2. It is good in situations where a young horse new teeth comes out – this is one of the only bit in the world that will not hurt him!
3. It is lightweight
4. It has excellent sports results (as I told you – from today to tomorrow!)
And his downsides:
1. Expancive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Do not allow the horse to eat with it (for example, on a turnout) – because the bit will be damaged and destroyed.
3. The factory in Italy manufactures according to order – so until you get the bit you have to wait 6-8 weeks …
But since I’m always in favor of the horses – then I really recommend this bit –
