Today I will relate to the issue of horse transport …
Have you asked yourself what your horse would prefer?
From my experience, the horse prefers, in our warm country, to be in a trailer that is:
1. As high as possible
2. As much fan as possible
3. With as much light as possible
That’s why I’ve been using Ifor-Williams trailers for years. They are made in England, and in fact are very suitable for countries that are also hot – because you can drive with a big open window … and the horses just love it!
Even the most stressful horse – just take out his head from time to time, get a breath of fresh air and relax!
In Europe you can order a new Ifor Williams with a total weight according to your needs from 1400 to 2200 kilos (maybe even 2400).
In fact, if you ordered a trailer with a total weight of up to 1500, you are allowed to load only one big horse (or plenty miniatures!). On the other hand you will be able to drive with a standard B license.
The Ifor williams horse trailers are brought to Israel with a standart total weight of 2,000 kilos, as of today. On the one hand it is restrictive in terms of vehicles, and you will have to tow it with a license C, but on the other hand, you can load two horses legally!
