\nWinter is coming, and now is the time to start organizing on a winter blanket for our beloved horse…
\nWait, before you run to the shops…
\nLet's talk for a moment about the real needs of your horse …
\nWill he stand outside?
\nWill he be with fur and you want to\u00a0heat your horse\u00a0in addition to his fur?
\nAre you going to shave your horse?
\nWhen the horse is shaved, he will need a\u00a0extra\u00a0heat in order\u00a0to complete the missing fur <\/span><\/p>\n

and also to warm up in cold days (when necessary).<\/span><\/p>\n


\nAnd another figure… how thick should be the blanket?
\nThere are all kinds of data … 50 G, 150 G, 300\u00a0G etc \u2026
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

So here I am, doing a moment of order.
\nIn our country it is not really cold (in the coldest day it will be 0-5 degree), it means that a horse with fur will suffice completely with a\u00a0blanket of 50-100g. <\/span><\/p>\n

(The older the horse is, the more warm it would be, ie, the 100g).<\/span><\/p>\n


\nIf the horse is shaved, you will want to put it in a 150-200g blanket.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year I looked for a new blanket for my shaved horse, but there were only 300g in the country … (and this is definitely too hot for\u00a0our horses in our country… such a\u00a0blanket is suitable for minus 10-20 degrees …) Of course I did not buy! <\/span><\/p>\n

I ordered from abroad\u00a0a blanket of\u00a050G and added another layer of 100g, which means 150g.
\nBecause my horses are free, even in the winter, they sometimes choose to stand right in the middle of the rein,
\nSo the\u00a0blanket I choose for is\u00a0the 150-200g (for the shaved ones), and the\u00a0it must be water-proof,
\nIn addition, I prefer the blanket, which includes a neck cover. These\u00a0blankets have several options –
\nOr that the\u00a0blanket comes in two parts – the part of the\u00a0body +
\nThe part of the neck (the HOOD), or the blanket comes in one piece and is called COMBO.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

When I buy a blanket, I prefer HORSEWARE, they have several different brand names – for example, RAMBO, and AMIGO, but what is common to their brands is the quality – it's high! Their blanket, from my experience, are the strongest and last longer\u00a0… even when they are on foals, males and especially vandalistic horse…<\/span><\/p>\n

\nA medium-sized horse usually will fit 125-135,
\nFor a Warmblood horse (Hanover for example), will usually suit 135-145 (depending on the height and length of the horse)
\nAnd especially large horses (height 170 and long) will fit 155 or larger.<\/p>\n


\nIn any case, you can always check the size of the company's size and check the height of your horse.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nSince it's a winter blanket, I always\u00a0prefer it to be on the larger size than on the exact one… because who knows, you might want to add a layer below?
